You have to ask why you want to use AI in some instances but not others. This is where your personal responsibility as a leader comes into play, based on what you have learned and determined is the role of AI in your company. This is where you can own your story to anyone you present it to, including detractors. That is why stewardship matters because it attaches to culture and values.
Much has been said about AI and our ability to manage it. It’s a big idea beyond what any individual company has control over. Even powerful technology leaders are making attempts to clamp down on unchecked AI. Sticking our heads in the sand will neither change this debate nor stop the forward momentum. The genie is out of its bottle.
But, seeing this period in our society not as one that has foregone conclusions of human demise, but one that may bring brilliant surprises about humanity and our understanding of each other, can help you navigate the experimentation landscape. As a human being, you have the right to explore … and the right to reject what you find.
