DTC dollars
Rent the Runway: Shares fell to an all-time low of $0.87 the Monday after the brand’s most recent quarterly report was released on Sept. 8—a far cry from the $19 shares were valued at in 2021, after the brand’s IPO. Investorplace reported that the clothing rental service is “among the more beaten-down names in the consumer discretionary space.”
Ritual: In a bid for both transparency and sustainability, Ritual earlier this month reportedly became the first supplement brand to share product-level carbon emissions with consumers. Carbon footprint management platform PlanetFWD conducted life cycle assessments of the brand’s 14 products. Assessments can cost anywhere from $2,500 to $10,000 per product, according to estimates Ritual Chief Impact Officer Lindsay Dahl shared with Beauty Independent.
