Snapple is using ChatGPT to generate bottlecap facts

ChatGPT is a dialogue-based interface that makes it possible to produce human-like text out of queries to a search engine. It’s currently being used primarily for research and exploration in the ad world, though some have used it to write dialogue in ads.

Keurig Dr Pepper, the owner of Snapple, said most of its press release about its fAIct Generator was written by ChatGPT, but admitted it made “light edits to make it more Snapple-y.”

Snapple has published 1,677 “Real Facts” since it began publishing them. These include facts like “Beavers can hold their breath for 45 minutes” and “Slugs have two noses.”

“Over the past 20 years, a central part of the fun Snapple experience has been the Snapple Real Facts under the cap,” said Kelli Freeman, senior VP of marketing, Keurig Dr Pepper, said in a press release. “The Snapple fAIct Generator makes it easy for a new generation of Snapple fans to experience the fun of facts in a tech-forward, and interactive way.”
