Bacardi, Captain Morgan among Instagram’s fastest-growing alcohol brands


The report also highlights the Instagram strategies that seemed to work well for follower growth in this sector, including influencer partnerships, doing photoshoots that show the drink with trendy foods, giveaways, and more.

 

For example, the report called out Stella Artois’ supper clubs, “a series of live and on-demand cooking classes,” as a “strong example” of how alcohol brands have successfully spurred growth on Instagram with food content. 

“Whether you consider following size a vanity metric, or a powerful signifier of your brand’s influence, your ‘number’ is likely to be one of the first things people look at if they visit your profile,” the report reads. “While we are more aligned with the belief that it is a vanity metric, we understand its importance in appealing to investors and buyers, and for this reason it’s one of the most common asks in the briefs and client requests we receive.”
